New Music Sunday – 3/3/2019

spiritnight-3

Happy March! This week brought us so much amazing music I am TRULY overwhelmed. I can say how much good music comes out every week until my eyes fall out but this is the first week in awhile I’ve truly felt overwhelmed with how much music is out that I want to listen to that I STILL haven’t gotten to. Which is absolutely not a bad problem to have!

Notable album & EP releases:

Good At Falling – The Japanese House
Wasteland, Baby! – Hozier
LÉON – LÉON
Shadowboxer – Mansionair
Compliments Please – Self Esteem
Bird On The Wing – Shy Girls
When I Get Home – Solange
Ulfilas’ Alphabet – Sundara Karma

“Sunday” – Foals
Release Date – February 25

“Without A Blush”- Hatchie
Release Date – February 26

I’ve been loving every single Hatchie has released (I believe her debut is out later this year) but this is probably my favorite she’s done so far and has been stuck in my head since the moment I first heard it.

“Mind’s Eye” – Jordan Rakei
Release Date – February 26

“Now That I Found You” – Carly Rae Jepsen
Release Date – February 27

I think I prefer this single over the other but I really like both and that’s why I wanted to include both! I’m excited to see where Carly takes her album since EMOTION had such an amazing life.

“No Drug Like Me” – Carly Rae Jepsen
Release Date – February 27

“Remind You” – Frenship
Release Date – February 27

“Deep Love” – Lady Lamb
Release Date – February 27

“Ashamed” – Omar Apollo

I’ve seen Omar’s name floating around for awhile but this is the first song I have heard by him and I am obsessed with it. He has a really unique sound, like emo R&B.

“Find Someone” – A R I Z O N A

Release Date – March 1

“Emotion” – Hazey Eyes, Panama
Release Date – March 1

“Talk” – Hozier
Release Date – March 1

“Would That I” – Hozier
Release Date – March 1

I really can’t choose between which I love more, this song or “Talk” but Hozier’s second album is one that I know will end up being one of my favorites of the year. I strongly recommend taking a listen!

“You Seemed So Happy” – The Japanese House
Release Date – March 1

“Sucker” – Jonas Brothers

“A Big World” – Joel Adams

“Bad Vibes” – K.Flay

I’ve been waiting for Léon’s debut album for seriously almost THREE YEARS if not longer and I’m so happy it’s finally here! This is for sure the standout track for me. So beautifully sad.
