Spring Break Travel Diary

PEDAL WORKS-3

Last Thursday, I flew to Nashville, Tennessee to spend a few days with my friend, Taylor, from college. She’s from Nashville so I flew home with her for the weekend and we had a great time exploring the city. I’ve been to Nashville twice before this trip, but this visit was particularly fun because we didn’t do all the touristy things: I didn’t even go down Broadway street at all.

I’ve considered moving to Nashville in a few years or so because of the great music scene and it’s basically the music capital of the country right now, and a great place for me to try to find a job!

Here are some of the highlights of my visit to Nashville:

12 South Mural |  2700 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204 // This is a famous mural that was created by the company DCXV and is definitely an hot spot for Instagrammers. There’s a couple of these murals around the city and has become a touristy spot over the past couple years. There’s also a ton of shops in this area, like Reese Witherspoon’s store, Draper James (very J.Crew meets Lilly Pulitzer and three times as expensive), and the delicious Five Daughters Bakery. If you’re looking for a great restaurant, I went to Urban Grub during my last Nashville trip and it was literally the best meal I’ve ever had.

Apple & Oak717 Porter Rd Nashville, TN 37206 // A.k.a. the cutest boutique I have ever been in filled with things that I don’t need for my dream apartment that I don’t have. The great thing about this store is that they have their products online so if I’m feeling like I can splurge, I can always go to their site. If any of my readers get a chance to visit Nashville, you should definitely visit this store located in East Nashville!

Pinewood Social | 33 Peabody St • Nashville, TN 37210 // If I could imagine what my dream loft apartment would look like: this is it. Pinewood Social is a brand new restaurant/bar/bowling alley/pool located just south of Downtown Nashville that’s about three years old. I visited the place on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm and it was packed with quite the hip crowd. I didn’t get a chance to see the pool because it was very cold out and to be honest, I didn’t even know they had a pool until I went to their website. I had the “Graceland Waffle,” which consisted of a Belgian waffle, peanut butter mousse, bacon, and banana. Despite my friend’s family’s disdain for their own meals, I very much enjoyed mine!

Here’s a shot of the adorable bowling area:

I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!
