Many of you may already know that I have been a Style Guru for College Fashionista for the past six months, and I’ve loved every minute of it. If you aren’t familiar with College Fashionista, it is a website dedicated to Fashionistas and Fashionistos all across the United States spotting trends on college campuses and writing about them. It has been extremely fun and a great way to improve my writing as well as forming connections with other students across America. It has also given me the confidence to launch this blog!
Last night in Chicago, I was lucky enough to attend an exclusive event at Shinola with the founders and girl bosses of College Fashionista. Shinola is an American luxury brand founded in Detroit Michigan and has locations all across the country as well as in London. Shinola is known for their watches, leather journals and accessories and even bicycles. It was a great opportunity to mingle with other Style Gurus in the Chicago area and a chance to meet with the creator of College Fashionista, Amy Levin.
Here are some photos I took:
Being surrounded by such goal orientated, motivated college students and business savvy, independent women was an incredible and inspiring experience and gave me even more of a drive to achieve my own goals. If you are interested in fashion and writing, don’t hesitate to apply to be a Style Guru with College Fashionista! It’s a wonderful and empowering experience.
