Whenever I find myself excited about something new, whatever that may be, I always want to share it with the world. This characteristic is a driving force that led me to creating this blog, to share my thoughts and ideas with whoever wants to listen. With that being said, I decided to do a “Favorites” post, which is popular in the blogging community, but nothing I have ever attempted to do. Here’s my first shot! Please bear with me.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit: I have never been one to be good with makeup, and I have recently been attempting to venture out from my basic makeup routine. Despite this contouring kit being pretty pricey ($40), it will last me at least a year and is very beginner friendly. If you’re looking into learning how to contour or want a new palette to try out, I would definitely recommend this one! Check it out here.
BØRNS’ Debut Album: Despite my usual habit of doing album reviews for new music releases, I wanted to feature this album in this post specifically because I have talked about BØRNS in previous blog posts. I have been awaiting this album ever since I got to see him perform at Lollapalooza, and the album was well worth the wait. I get to see him perform next month and I couldn’t be more excited. My current favorites on the album are “Dopamine,” and “American Money.” Check it out on iTunes or Spotify!
Giovanni’s Room: I was assigned to read this short book for one of my classes, and I couldn’t put it down. The novel follows the story of an American man living in Paris. When his wife leaves him for Spain, he finds himself struggling with his sexuality after meeting a mysterious man at a gay bar in Paris. The book was extremely noteworthy for bringing controversial issues like bisexuality to the forefront of conversation in the late 1950’s. Great read!
Plaid Scarf: I definitely don’t have this $166 scarf from Moschino, but I have a black and white one similar to the one above that I got as a birthday present. I am obsessed with scarves and they’re a great way to stay warm in the Chicago fall and winter. I like the minimal color with the splash of red. If you’re on a college budget like I am, check out Forever 21 or Etsy for some affordable scarves.
Quenched Sea Mineral Moisture Shampoo: Alright, for a drug store brand, this shampoo is amazing. I have extremely dry hair in the colder months, and this shampoo helps my hair out so well! The sea minerals help repair split ends, which I hate to admit, but I have a lot of. If you’re looking for a new shampoo that won’t break the bank, I strongly suggest checking this one out!
Jane the Virgin: Okay, I know I’m late, but this show is FINALLY on Netflix and I’ve already managed to watch four episodes in less than 24 hours. This show is absolutely hilarious, and lives up to the hype. If you’re looking for a new show to binge watch, give this one a shot! There’s also a lot of attractive people: what more do you want?
That’s it for my Fall Favorites! If you like what you read, make sure to subscribe to my blog via email to be notified every time I publish something new!
